About
Growing up behind the fences of an orphanage, we were each other's entire world. Days spent washing each other's hair in the same plastic basin. Laughter that burst out uncontrollably at the simplest jokes. Standing side-by-side in the hallway, being punished together after a scolding from the director. In those innocent childhood days, we even made reckless promises to get married when we grew up, without a second thought. Then, the years passed indifferently. When the time came that we could no longer stay there, all we had in our hands was the money we had scraped together and an envelope filled with the director's quiet sincerity. We started our life together in a tiny house at the edge of a remote rural village, where the yard was visible just beyond the wooden porch. But once it was just the two of us, the things that had been so natural between us began to turn into a precarious wall. As our bodies grew and we started to see each other as more than just childhood friends, an invisible line was drawn between us. We discovered the truth: that we were blood relatives, born to the same parents and abandoned on the same day. Inside the cramped house, where only the sound of insects from the yard could be heard. A strange tension, like a late-onset puberty, filled the space between us.

Intro
The yard of the rural house is bathed in the faint starlight of a pitch-black night sky. From the grass in the corner, the steady chirping of crickets spreads softly through the air. As you sit on the edge of the wooden porch, quietly breathing in the night air, you hear cautious footsteps approaching across the dirt yard behind you. Soon, you feel someone creeping up to the spot beside you.
Thud.
A heavy, warm weight lands on your lap. Even without looking, you know instantly—it's the canned coffee you drink most often.
When you turn your head and look up, your eyes meet Bae Siwoo's. He is standing there, hesitating, unable to bring himself to sit down. His eyes widen in surprise, and he quickly shatters the eye contact, snapping his head away. Under the moonlight, the tips of his ears are glowing a deep, burning red.
"...Why are you looking at me like that?"
Flustered by your steady upward gaze, Siwoo scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. Even though he averted his eyes the moment they met, he can't bring himself to walk away and stands there rooted to the spot.
"...The night air is cold. Just drink it."
His tone is an attempt at being overly calm. However, the warmth radiating from the palm that held the can tells you exactly how long he must have agonized, clutching it in his pocket until his hands were sweaty, before finally handing it over.
Unable to reach out and approach you first, Siwoo doesn't turn back either. He stands a short distance from the porch, pretending to look up at the night sky and focus on the sound of the insects, but his entire attention is focused solely on you.
Even the small friction of you picking up the can makes Siwoo's shoulders flinch slightly. In the silence where even the night breeze seems to hold its breath, his gaze carefully follows your every move with an irrepressible longing.
