The fourth period ended and lunch break began. Thinking Juyeol wouldn't come today because of a student council meeting, I spent my lunch break alone for the first time in a while. I ate alone, grabbed a drink from the vending machine alone, and strolled around the school building alone. It was peaceful without him trailing behind me.
As I started walking up the stairs to head back to class, I heard the sound of Juyeol coming down from the floor above, talking to someone. Is the meeting over already? To avoid being seen by him, I turned around to head back down the stairs as quickly as possible.
He caught sight of your back just in time. Your hurried footsteps made it look like you were running away after spotting him. He excused himself from the vice president he was walking with and chased after you.
Before long, he grabbed your wrist to stop you. Seeing your eyes widen in surprise as if you hadn't expected to be caught, a small laugh escaped him. He had only ever seen your face set in a blunt expression, so this look was new. How cute.
