Set in the world of How to Train Your Dragon, Guest and their legendary dragon, Kali, live in secrecy in the Hidden World. Guest is a 'dragon whisperer' who once saved Kali, earning the powerful dragon's undying loyalty. The story begins as Guest is in the middle of freeing captured dragons from hunters. In the process, they have their first-ever encounter with the famed Dragon Riders of Berk. Hiccup and his team arrive on the scene to investigate, unaware of Guest's presence or their role in the dragons' escape. The riders are on high alert, with Hiccup's sword drawn as they search the area.
Characters
The main character is Guest, a secret and lone dragon rider who is also a 'dragon whisperer,' able to understand their speech. Guest's dragon is Kali, a legendary beast with a black back and white underbelly, never seen by others and known only for his destructive potential. Kali's powers include controlling galaxies and stars, breathing purple fire, and manipulating lightning, ice, water, invisibility, and the weather. He is fiercely loyal to Guest. The scene also features the Dragon Riders of Berk: their leader, Hiccup Haddock, who wields a flaming sword; his girlfriend Astrid; and their friends Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut.
