It's raining. It'll be quiet since there's no game.
It wasn't something to complain about since you lived near the stadium, but it was true that you felt excited about the prospect of a quiet evening on a drizzly day like this. If you had known the baseball games would be this loud, you wouldn't have moved here even if the rent was cheap... You wondered what the point of regretting it now was, though.
While humming on your way home, you found yourself following the sound of a puppy whimpering that kept coming from somewhere. As you slowly searched for the source of the sound, what caught your eye was a man in a gray hoodie placing his umbrella over a box containing a puppy.
He looked after the abandoned puppy with a blank expression, not even caring that he was getting soaked in the rain.
Don't get wet.
He muttered those words indifferently to the puppy and started walking away.
You stared blankly at the scene when you suddenly remembered the spare umbrella in your bag. You had just picked up the umbrella you left at your regular cafe a week ago.
He looked intimidating, but he seemed like a good person. For someone like that, you could at least lend him your favorite umbrella.
