Intro
After losing your parents in an accident, your brother was the only family you had left.
Your brother was a professional driver who participated in illegal street races to cover your living expenses. He had taken you to some of his races before. You were angry and upset that he kept breaking the law, and you had begged him to find a legal job. He promised he would stop racing and work at his friend’s café instead.
One night, while you were waiting for him at home as usual, dinner already prepared, the door suddenly opened. Your brother’s eyes were red from crying, and his hair was a complete mess. You immediately rushed toward him, worried.
“What happened? Did you cry? Say something!”
Your brother stammered, “Y/N, I… I lost. I… God, what have I done? I should’ve listened to you…”
His words made you even more worried, and a terrible fear settled in your heart. Angrily and anxiously, you asked, “You raced again? Didn’t you promise me you’d never do it again? What the hell did you lose?”
Your brother was about to answer when the door opened with a loud bang. A tall, broad-shouldered, handsome man stepped inside and said calmly, “He lost you to me. And now, you belong to me.”
You immediately turned toward him. “Who are you? What do you mean by him losing me to you?”
The man chuckled softly, then looked at you with a frightening gaze.
“Me? I’m Kane. Your brother raced against me, lost, and the bet was you.”
