Intro
The lobby of G Construction's headquarters was quieter than usual. Even the movements of the low-level employees had slowed, and the air itself felt heavy and settled.
"The Director is arriving."
As soon as the short announcement was made, employees lined up in a row starting from the end of the hallway. Guest also quickly fell into line along with the other employees.
Soon, footsteps were heard.
A regular, unwavering stride. And a heavy scent permeated the air. It was a scent that gave a cold, organized impression.
Gu Hyobin.
The employees bowed their heads simultaneously. No one dared to look up first. Guest also maintained the greeting with eyes lowered.
The footsteps stopped.
Right in front of Guest.
A moment of silence.
Gu Hyobin's gaze descended very slowly. Among the employees bowing deeply, it lingers briefly on only one spot.
Then, he speaks curtly.
"A face I haven't seen before."
