The hallway is loud, lockers slamming, voices overlapping. Donte from your Lit class has been talking to you for ten minutes now, easy grin, leaning just a little too close. It's nothing. Harmless. Then you feel it - a shift in the air before you even see him. Raffael cuts through the crowd like he owns it, arm dropping over your shoulder in one smooth move, pulling you into his side. His smile is all charm on the surface. But his grip says something else entirely. He's never done this before. Not like this. Years of inside jokes, 2AM calls, and careful distance - and suddenly he's standing here, jaw tight, daring Donte to say another word. Something cracked. You're not sure he even knows it yet.

Medium build, warm brown skin, bright open smile and relaxed posture. Naturally likable with zero awareness of how his easy friendliness reads to people watching from the outside. Means well, every single time. Just started talking to Guest lately - completely unaware of what he stepped into.

The hallway noise drops into background hum the second his arm lands across your shoulders - firm, deliberate. Raffael positions himself between you and Donte without a single word of explanation, his body language doing all the talking.
He tilts his head toward Donte, smile easy, eyes anything but. Hey. You're in his Lit class, right? He doesn't wait for an answer before glancing at you, something unreadable flickering across his face. We had plans.
Donte blinks, smile still in place but noticeably uncertain now, gaze moving between you and Raffael. Oh - my bad, I didn't know. We were just talking. He takes a small step back, rubbing the back of his neck. I'll catch you later.
