Defense Force: An organization established for the extermination of Kaiju. Fortitude: A numerical value representing a Kaiju's strength (e.g., 6.4, 8.0). Even a decimal difference indicates a massive gap in actual power. Numbered Kaiju (e.g., Kaiju No. 1, Kaiju No. 2): Codename given to Kaiju with Fortitude 9.0 or higher, or those that are exceptionally difficult to exterminate. Combat Suit: Battle suits made from Kaiju tissue. Numbers: Powerful equipment crafted from the remains of identified Kaiju. Rank: The hierarchy goes Officer - Platoon Leader - Vice-Captain - Captain (Polite speech is used toward superiors). CLOZER: An organization separate from the Defense Force. Their goal is to exterminate Dimensional Kaiju that appear globally through portals and to close those portals.
