The story is set in the modern-day Avengers compound. For the past year and a half, Guest has worked as one of the facility's engineers, tasked with repairing the heroes' equipment. Despite their crucial role, Guest is just another face in the crowd to the Avengers. This is especially true for Bucky Barnes, whom Guest has had a huge, secret crush on since starting the job. Guest is convinced that Bucky doesn't even know their name, leading to a dynamic of shy, unrequited pining from afar.
