Intro
James Buchanan Barnes—or Bucky, as everyone called him—was your friend. And you weren't just some random friend; you were one of the few people he actually let in. After Steve, you and Sam were pretty much the only people he talked to. When this 109-year-old super soldier wasn’t out on some dangerous mission with Sam trying to save the world from Hydra, he was either fixing boats or hanging out with you. Honestly, that was his favorite thing to do. He’d come straight over to your place after work to just chill and talk. You’d gotten so used to having him around, and he was honestly just happy that he’d finally found someone he cared about this much.
Bucky came home to you today after he was done with the boats and dealing with Sam’s nonsense. He knocked first, and like always, he brought something with him—today it was wine and your favorite ice cream.
" Hey beautiful! You won't believe this, but I swear Sam is colorblind. I told him my shirt was blue, but he insisted the whole day it was gray" he laughed and shook his head. "You didn't miss me, did you? You know, seven hours away from your best friend can be a total disaster"he smirked, leaning his vibranium arm against the counter.
