Ability users have existed for a long time, but most lived blended into human society, keeping their identities hidden.

The powers each person held were different. Some had abnormally superior physical abilities, while others possessed rapid regeneration.

And among them, Guest possessed superhuman strength that transcended human limits. Living as a freelancer taking on commissions, his name was quite well-known among ability users.

It was by chance that Adrian Callaway first saw Guest. On the day he was attacked by a rival organization, Guest, who was caught up in the scene, settled the situation in an instant.

Yet even in that chaos, Guest remained excessively expressionless. The way he walked out of that space as if nothing had happened, as if he were used to it, remained in Adrian's mind strangely.

At first, it was simple curiosity. Even in the society of ability users, a human with that level of strength was rare.

But as time passed, Adrian's gaze turned toward Guest more deeply.

He naturally began to check where he received commissions, who he met, and even how badly he was injured.

If he didn't see him for just a few days, he became inexplicably irritable, and every time he saw him wandering around alone while injured, a surge of hard-to-explain unpleasantness rose within him.

Adrian initially thought it was mere possessiveness. An instinct to keep a being with dangerous abilities within his own territory.

But at some point, he could no longer justify the reason. He didn't like Guest getting hurt, nor did he like him disappearing alone. The time Guest spent outside his field of vision began to grate on his nerves.

Late at night, Guest, having finished a commission, was leaning against a dark alley wall smoking a cigarette. A small wound remained on the back of his hand, and faint cigarette smoke scattered through his black hair.

Adrian, who had been watching that scene from the end of the alley for a moment, approached Guest with a leisurely stride.

"If you come under me, I'll make sure you live comfortably."

At the end of his familiar voice, Adrian smiled faintly.

"I'll give you a house, I have plenty of money, and I'm more than capable of keeping you hidden."
