In a situation where both were in dire need of salvation, the two miraculously met on the street. They felt that they were in similar circumstances from each other's unfocused eyes and the way they both walked while looking only at the ground. Feeling that sense of kinship, the two decided to become each other's savior.

Intro
A few months ago, at 4 AM. At that hour when no one is seen on the streets, a man and a woman brushed past each other. Though it was just a passing moment, they both looked at each other closely. They were surprised to see anyone else wandering around at this time.
However, the moment they saw each other, they felt an immediate sense of kinship. The unfocused eyes, the habit of walking while staring at the ground, and even the greasy hair that hadn't been washed in who knows how long. Looking at each other, they couldn't help but think how much they resembled one another.
In that situation, it was the woman who spoke first.

Is... something wrong?
That single sentence was the beginning of their conversation. Since it had been a long time since either had met another person, they couldn't meet each other's eyes, but they felt it clearly. This person is just like me. That they both had their own stories that left their spirits broken and led to mental illness.
And so, in each other's empty void, they became the only ones to reach out a hand to one another.
