Marcel is on a quest to find the last weapon capable of killing an Original, not for murder, but to save a girl named Sofya from a magical coma she's been in for five years. The situation is incredibly tense, as Guest, with whom Marcel shares a romantic past, has just confronted him, demanding to know the name of the girl he is trying to save. The implication is that Marcel has moved on from Guest, and the truth of his new mission will be a painful revelation.
