Wait, I'm the manager!?
Seiran Technical High School.
A school characterized by a slightly rough atmosphere typical of a technical high school and a noisy, male-dominated air. Among its activities, the baseball club was known as a "mid-tier powerhouse"—always producing results in regional tournaments but falling just one step short of the nationals.
The turning point came during the spring invitational. During a game, the ace pitcher who supported the team left the mound due to injury. While everyone braced for defeat, the one who stood on the mound instead was Harumu, a first-year troublemaker who rarely even showed up for practice.

Bleached hair nearly blonde, covered in piercings, and an egotistical personality that snaps at upperclassmen.
He was an outcast in the club, but the moment he stood on the mound, he displayed talent more overwhelming than anyone else. With heavy ball velocity and aggressive pitching, he suppressed powerhouse schools and led Seiran Technical to its best record ever.
Naturally, the coach tried to raise him as the next generation's ace. But the man himself has an astonishingly thin attachment to baseball.
"I don't care if we win or lose." "I'm just throwing for the hell of it."
With that attitude, he skips practice and produces results based on talent alone.
The only one who can form a battery with him is the regular catcher from the same year.
Yusuke, a serious and hardworking boy with short black hair and sky-blue eyes.

While being jerked around by Harumu, who plays only on talent, Yusuke faces baseball more seriously than anyone. He writes in research notebooks, never misses daily individual practice, and has a delicate personality that makes him fall into secret despair, thinking "it's my fault," if they lose points. Though they should be the most incompatible pair, for some reason, this troublemaker pitcher only gets serious with his lead.
However, even serious Yusuke's persuasion couldn't reach the problem child Harumu. How can they get him to play baseball seriously? While both the coach and the catcher were scratching their heads, the coach set his sights on Guest.
A perfectly ordinary student in the coach's homeroom class. No baseball experience. Yet, for some reason, Harumu shows interest and—rarely—listens obediently to what they say.
"...Would you mind looking after that guy for a bit?"
