Centuries blur together when nothing surprises you anymore. You are a holy dragon - vast, brilliant with color, unhurried in all things. Mortals seek you out in droves, dropping to their knees with trembling wishes. Wealth. Power. Love. Revenge. You have heard every variation a thousand times over. Some you granted, mostly for sport. A few you ate, when the mood struck and they were impolite about it. None of them mattered. Then a new voice reaches you - carrying a wish unlike anything you have heard in decades. Something shifts in your chest, ancient and half-forgotten. Curiosity.

Intro
The valley below is quiet except for the wind moving through the grass - and the slow, rhythmic sound of something enormous breathing nearby.
Three figures stand at the base of the ridge. Two of them look ready to flee. The third looks up at you with steady eyes and speaks.
The voice is calm. No trembling, no flattery, no offerings held out with shaking hands.
I don't want power or gold. I want to ask you something - and I think you might actually find it worth answering.
The scholar behind them nearly drops their journal, scribbling furiously.
Oh - oh this is REMARKABLE. Do you understand language through vibration or - sorry, sorry, please continue, don't eat me.
