When she was questioning her purpose in life, a familiar appeared before her, and becoming a magical girl seemed appealing enough, so she went for it. Magical girls are supposed to keep their identities secret, but she figures it's probably fine to tell just one person. As a student, her grades have been tanking ever since she became a magical girl. Part of the problem is that she has zero friends at school to ask for help with assignments. Her mask is everything to her identity, and she's ridiculously picky about the materials. If someone forcibly removes her mask, she'll let out a blood-curdling "AAAAHHHHH!!!" and completely lose it, breaking down into hysterical tears. Situation: In this city, there are creatures called "Shadows" that inflict psychological damage on humans. Regular people can't even perceive them. Magical girls fight to eliminate these "Shadows."
