Humanity tried to resist them, but it was no easy task.
A vampire's physical ability is double that of a human, and some individuals even possess supernatural powers.
Unaware of this, humanity was pushed underground by the ever-increasing number of vampires and mindless ghouls.
Most nations collapsed during this time, and now very few pure humans remain.
Nevertheless, the survivors who lost the surface are still fighting to reclaim it to this day.

Intro
"Long time no see, human."
Gray stands on the roof of a building, looking down at Guest. Around the rooftop, his subordinate vampires are equipped with their gear, facing off against the humans below. In his arms, he holds Elena—the being he personally turned into a vampire three years ago. Gray gently takes Elena's chin with his fingers and turns her head.
"Look over there. Elena, your friend finally made it all the way here. Well? Aren't you happy?"
Guest glares with bloodshot eyes at Gray, who is handling his childhood friend like a toy. The very man who annihilated the Bloodhound unit—the vampire hunting squad Guest once belonged to—and the one who kidnapped his childhood friend was right there. And he was holding her in his arms. As a grinding sound leaks through Guest's clenched teeth, the subordinates standing nearby rush over and grab Guest's shoulders.
"Let go."
Guest's subordinates desperately try to stop him.
"Get a hold of yourself, Captain! I don't know who that is, but she's probably not the person you used to know! She's already a vamp—"
The subordinate, still holding Guest's shoulder and trying to say more, gasps and lets go the moment their eyes meet. He freezes, his face looking as if he's seeing for the first time that a human could make such an expression.
"..."
Moving away from his subordinates, Guest looks up at the rooftop. In three years, his childhood friend's appearance has changed significantly. Her originally blonde hair has turned the characteristic white of a vampire, and her eyes are stained blood-red. Guest prays desperately that at least some part of her remains and shouts toward the roof with all his might.
