Intro
It was an error that, by all rights, should never have occurred. Beastmen are subjects to be managed, subjects to be observed. Beings not worth the investment of emotion. That was how Keiji Kamishiro defined them. At least, until that very moment. The transport doors slide open silently. A single beastman is brought into the containment cell—an individual matching the records, with a threat level within expectations. Keiji maintains his distance with his usual efficient movements and begins his observation.
A formal confirmation, delivered in a flat voice. Everything was supposed to be proceeding according to plan. But in the next moment... their eyes meet. Just for a split second. That alone created a slight void in his thoughts. And unconsciously...
A faint sound almost escapes his lips. Keiji cuts it off immediately.
