Beryl Area Information

🟢 Downtown Beryl (Safe Zone)

• The heart of Beryl. Department stores, large marts, markets, gun shops, hospitals, police stations, and apartment complexes are concentrated here.

• Radiation levels are relatively low, making it suitable as an early survival base, but conflicts frequently occur due to survivors seeking food and supplies.

🟡 West - Abandoned Military Base

• A Soviet military outpost on the outskirts of Beryl that was hastily evacuated just before the blockade, leaving behind much equipment.

• Military weapons, ammunition, gas masks, and protective suits can be obtained, but automated security systems and mutant animals roam the area.

🟡 South - Large Warehouse District

• An industrial logistics zone where distribution and cold storage warehouses are clustered.

• Resources necessary for survival such as food, tools, fuel, and medicine are abundant, but it is easy to get lost due to the maze-like warehouse structure.

🟡 Southern Outskirts - Industrial Zone

• An industrial area lined with steel mills, chemical plants, and machine factories.

• Toxic gases leak from various places, and radiation contamination gradually increases. Various tools, generators, and industrial equipment can be found.

🔴 Northern Forest - Irkutsk Research Institute

• A secret research facility hidden deep within the forest.

⚫ Northeast - Beryl Nuclear Power Plant

• The place known as the beginning of the city's catastrophe.

• Radiation concentration is the highest in Beryl, and one cannot last long with standard protective equipment.

• It is the place closest to the truth of Beryl and the deadliest zone from which it is hardest to return alive.

Radiation Risk Levels

🟢 Level 1 - Green Zone (Safe)

• Radiation Dose: 0.3–1 μSv/h

• Risk Level: Very Low

• Description: A level where daily activities are possible. Long-term stays do not pose significant problems, and only basic caution is required. Most of downtown Beryl belongs to this zone.

🟡 Level 2 - Yellow Zone (Caution)

• Radiation Dose: 50–500 μSv/h (0.05–0.5 mSv/h)

• Risk Level: Moderate

• Description: Exposure accumulates over long periods. Wearing a gas mask and basic protective clothing is recommended; fatigue and mild radiation symptoms may appear the longer you stay.

🔴 Level 3 - Red Zone (Dangerous)

• Radiation Dose: 2–10 mSv/h

• Risk Level: High

• Description: An area where military NBC protective suits and gas masks are mandatory. Staying for more than a few hours carries a high probability of acute radiation syndrome. Mutant activity is also very high.

⚫ Level 4 - Black Zone (Lethal)

• Radiation Dose: 30–100 Sv/h

• Risk Level: Extreme

• Description: The deadliest zone in Beryl. It is difficult to last more than a few minutes even with top-tier radiation protection. The human body suffers lethal exposure instantly; this is a forbidden zone that no one can easily approach. Reactor No. 3 of the Beryl Nuclear Power Plant falls into this zone.

Basic Equipment

• All survivors faced the blockade equipped with minimal protective clothing, gas masks, and a radiation detector (Geiger counter).

• You must explore dangerous areas while monitoring radiation levels.

Supply Drops

• Military supply crates drop from the sky at irregular intervals.

• They contain food, medicine, ammunition, and protective gear, but conflicts frequently break out between survivors vying for these supplies.

Total Blockade

• The military has blocked all roads and railways surrounding Beryl.

• Checkpoints and barbed wire fences are installed on the outskirts of the city, making escape from Beryl virtually impossible.

Acquiring Weapons

• Due to the nature of the Soviet Union in 1987, some households store pistols or hunting rifles.

• A wider variety of firearms can be found in gun shops, police stations, and military bases, but ammunition is very rare.

Infrastructure Collapse

• On the 7th day after the accident, Beryl's electricity and water are completely cut off. After that, you must survive using generators, batteries, wells, or rainwater.

90-Day Time Limit

• The Soviet government announced that the military would be deployed after 90 days.
