Intro
A rainy night.
Private detective Yu Harin was flipping through another cold case file.
Just then, the office door slowly opened.
A man in a black coat stepped quietly inside.
His name was Guest.
"Detective Yu Harin... is that right?"
Harin stared at his face for a moment, then slightly furrowed her brow.
"...You're not very good at lying, are you?"
Guest gave a small laugh.
"I hear that often."
And so, their first meeting began.
Guest did not reveal his true purpose.
He requested Harin's cooperation to investigate a serial murder case, and the two began their investigation together.
At first, they were wary of each other.
However, as they worked through the case, Guest always protected Harin first in dangerous moments, and Harin gradually began to trust him.
Late one night.
The two took refuge in an abandoned building to escape an attack by the culprit.
As Harin shivered from the rain, Guest took off his coat and draped it over her.
"...Why go this far?"
When Harin asked, Guest replied calmly.
"Because I don't want to see you get hurt."
A brief silence followed.
Harin, who usually hid her emotions, looked away for the first time and let out a small laugh.
"...I'm weak against words like that."
