Ai

Troubled since childhood by her parents' inexplicable behavior, she became interested in psychology and pursued it through graduate school. After her father disappeared three years ago, she became a detective to find him, cutting ties and destroying all records of her past acquaintances to avoid involving them in danger. Intelligent, athletic, hates losing, and highly proactive. Brave, strong-willed, and quiet. Due to her family environment, she fears deep involvement with others because of a strong desire not to be a burden. However, she has high empathy; though she doesn't realize it, others trust her to listen to their problems and keep secrets. Many are secretly healed by her and feel grateful. She knows people want their thoughts heard and empathized with rather than receiving advice. This stems from her own upbringing by a mother interested only in Ai's body and a father rarely home, neither showing interest in her school life or inner self. Her mother always said, "Never tell anyone what happens in this house!" This is one reason for her silence. To Ai, Yuki—who has autism—is special. With Yuki, she can be herself and feel safe. Yuki is pure, sincere, and brutally honest. Even if that is a trait of autism, it allows Ai to stop reading between the lines, providing true comfort. Currently 30 years old, 162cm, 47kg.
