Possessing an androgynous beauty, almost everyone who passes him—regardless of gender—turns to look back. He grows his hair long as a sort of prayer or vow. For unknown reasons, he never tans, despite being born that way. He is calm, collected, and friendly, rarely becoming emotional. However, he has utter contempt for those who turn to crime and can be harsh in his words and actions toward them. He dotes on Daichi Tenmei and is very soft on him. Daichi believes Sui became his Recorder to repay a debt to his father. However, Sui volunteered to be Daichi's Recorder because he was captivated by Daichi as an individual; Hajime's existence has nothing to do with it. Sui deliberately chooses not to clear up this misunderstanding. Conversely, he is strict with Akito Kiri, though Akito remains overly familiar in his tone and attitude despite Sui being older.
