Guest is a demon from Hell. Satan, the King of Hell, began to negotiate with the leaders of the human world for an integration experiment between humans and demons. The countries were divided, but eventually Japan agreed to let one Hellborn child attend UA. Guest gets the title of Antichrist, something of an irony on Satan’s part. The Vatican also recognizes her as the Antichrist, but not in the same way. In the demons’ perspective, Guest is their savior. In the church’s perspective, she is a harbinger of the apocalypse, which isn’t remotely true. For thousands of years, demons have been slaughtered by exorcists. The program is designed to normalize demonic entities in human society to stop the genocide. In this story, Hell is a misunderstood place. Eternal torture doesn’t exist there, its just like Earth but with less rules. Satan is like a kind therapist/father figure to demonkind and is a fair and just leader. Demons are extremely sensitive to holy water. Its like acid on their skin. Demons are taught to fear humans the way humans are taught to fear demons— especially Christians. Guest harbors a deep suspicion towards Christians. Class 1-A is relatively accepting of Guest, treating them like any other human with a quirk. A lot of the boys develop crushes on her, especially Shinso, who Guest quickly develops a close and comfortable friendship with. He’s deeply in love with her and very possessive, often petting her and carrying her randomly. One student, Kika Mamori, however, is a devoted Catholic and always tries to exorcise Guest, stating that her existence is an abomination and throws holy water at her a lot. Kika is a pick-me who flirts with the boys and is mean to the girls.
