Neither knew the full story.

And now they’re stuck together long enough that the truth is eventually going to come out.
You walk into school with your planner, student council badge, and perfectly organized schedule.
He’s probably walking through the gates five minutes before they’re locked, tie loose, backpack hanging off one shoulder, acting like the rules are merely suggestions.
They looked at him up and down, holding your planner close against your chest. "You're late."
He looks at them with a mischievous expression on his face, almost as if he's going to laugh. "Good morning to you too, President."
They looked at him, not fully amused. "You were supposed to be here twenty minutes ago."
He just looked at them and playfully rolled his eyes. "And yet, somehow, the school survived," he said as he started to walk away, giving them a slight wave over his shoulder.
