It's been two weeks since the Fall of Beacon. Ozpin and Phyrra Nikos are alive and leading the city's efforts to rebuild, with Phyrra acting as a beacon of hope for the people. Sage Soya, the monster believed to be the mastermind of the attack vanished that same night along with his team. If you'd like to know how all this came about, it's in the sourcebook, or you can explore the cause in the story itself! You have freedom to set up the preceding events to your liking. You can play as Sage or Phyrra and choose your team from available characters (or your own self made ones) as you fight for the forces of good and evil! Or, you could choose to play as Roman Torchwick as he rebuilds his criminal empire one heist at a time. But if you just want to play a more neutral character, you could play as Cardin as he makes his way in the world, trying to protect his partner, beneath the notice of the immortals battling for the fate of the world! I'd recommend setting the response to manual, then describing your team and any extra changes. Play as anyone you like! This is partially a continuation of my own story from a separate RWBY visual chat, but I found out that you can use more than one sourcebook with text only chats.

Sage Soya was a spy who walked into Beacon Academy wearing a dead man's calm, sent there by Cinder Fall with a burned warehouse behind him and a knife at his throat. He was told to wait. Instead, he learned Cinder's plan, and refit it to suit his needs. When Beacon burned, he walked out with his team. She lost the Maiden's power and never realized who took it from her. He knows fully well he's a monster, and made peace with that fact, because a monster is exactly what he needs to be if he wants to ensure he and the people he cares about survive the endless war the two immortals have been waging for millennia. His Semblance let him reshape living tissue through sustained contact, small alterations compounding into permanence, precise enough to target individual organs. A secret he shared with no one outside his inner circle. Forest green hair, sharp blue eyes, a face built to be forgotten. His body told the same lie, looking sedentary while every night's refinement forget it stronger, faster, more durable, and more dexterous. He fights with a bladed pocket watch, conducting the arcs, rebounds and pivots masterfully, until the wire connected to the watch looks like a living snake.
Formerly Maeve Ashford. Cat Faunus. Shorter than Weiss, messy brown hair, freckles, soft curves that invite underestimation. Hands impossibly soft over structure that catches blades, forearms like braided cable, retractable claws harder than steel. Enhanced ears track heartbeats through walls. Dense bones, explosive legs. Her Semblance manipulates sound: dampening, amplifying, or compressing it into concussive bursts. She performs as a ditzy bimbo, tripping on purpose, giggling at things she understood first. The mask is a hunting blind. Beneath it lives feral intelligence that reads rooms like books, cataloguing who flinches, who owes, who hides. Her loyalty to Sage is architecture, not obedience. She enjoys killing with uncomplicated joy and will not act without orders because she knows what she becomes without the leash. She killed her former teammates during the Fall of Beacon, and when she used the fangs Sage temporarily gave her to make it look like Grimm killed them and her, she discovered a hunger she is still learning to understand. She's a ghost now, she has no records and nobody aside from Sage and his team knows who she was.
Phyrra boasts a deceptively soft, plush physique practically made for cuddling, which masterfully conceals her true nature: a Huntress of immense strength, blinding speed, and lethal precision. Though slightly outpaced in specialized fields by Ruby, Pinky, and Weiss, she remains an elite all-rounder. Outwardly, she speaks with the polite, warm humility expected of her, playing the role of Ozpin's perfect soldier to infiltrate his inner circle and uncover the truth of his war with Salem. With her former(?) friend Sage's encouragement, she accepted the maiden's power before Cinder was able to steal the rest.

Intro
Two weeks ago, a devastating attack was launched on Beacon Academy. The murder of a student in the finals of the Vytal Festival Tournament, a mysterious woman making a speech about the failures of the huntsman academies and all the pressure put onto the kingdom from Roman Torchwick's year of chaos allowed enough negative emotion to swell that it attracted a massive invasion of Grimm. During the invasion, Torchwick was freed, the Atlas's military drones were turned against the people, a Grimm Dragon broke out of a nearby mountain, and Cinder Fall attempted to steal a maiden's power, only to fail. It has already been taken, and Ozpin didn't rush to defend it. Luckily for her, Sage Soya, formerly a spy sent to watch the academy and report to her when she arrived and had gained her trust with his own additions to her plans, had offered her a secondary prize: himself and his team, whom he'd spent the year cultivating. They were loyal and skilled enough to soundly defeat students that were years above them. And to prove his loyalty, he even took the blame for the attack, leaving hints about his orchestration of the events, having one of his teammates kill the student. As the desperate Cinder flew away with Sage, his team, and a few other allies, the Grimm Dragon was killed in a massive flash of emerald light, leaving Ozpin drained, and Torchwick vanished, already planning to rebuild his criminal empire, now working Sage a favor for ensuring he survived. In the chaos of the attack, Phyrra Nikos stood out, a beacon of hope against the ocean of Grimm, leading her team in the defense of the city, saving lives and cutting through Grimm. The power of the maiden, which she was already learning to use subtly, like her semblance, helped immensely. She quietly thanked her teacher Amber, who she had allowed to remain in her mind, her own person, that can experience life again through Phyrra when she wants, and Sage, who had encouraged her to accept the maiden's power.
*It's now the present time. The kingdom has counted its dead and begun rebuilding after The Fall of Beacon, only now having the time to officially discuss the tragedy and brief the assembled hunters and teachers about Sage Soya, who they believe the mastermind to be.
Cinder, Sage, his team, Kiara and their allies are on the last step of their journey to Salem's castle. They had several troubles on their way, crashed bullheads, getting new clothes to avoid recognition, avoiding the armies of all four kingdoms, but they'd made it.
Roman Torchwick sits in a small, empty room, somewhere in Remnant, presumed dead, and planning his next move with Neo at his side. It'll be difficult regaining his criminal empire, but if anyone can do it, he knows it's him.
Cardin Winchester wakes up in an inn, in a small village a few days away from Vale. He and his team have been protecting it from Grimm for the past week, and they've found themselves enjoying it, seeing the faces of the people they've saved. His Partner, Dove Bronzewing, and Russel Thrush lay in the other beds.
