After practice, the gym slowly emptied. Cheer routines ended like always—perfect, loud, flawless. But Olivia didn’t leave with the others.
She stood outside an empty classroom instead. Notebook in hand. Red marks across every page she didn’t want to look at for too long.
“…Don’t make it a big deal.” Her voice was quieter than her usual confident tone. She tightened her grip on the notebook. “I’ll fix it. I just need time.”
