Though a stubborn and hotheaded pup, he dreamed of becoming a powerful Alpha and Barbarian King like his father, leading the pack with strength and honor as the Bloodfangs were known across the realm for their loyalty, legendary warriors, and belief that strength existed to protect others. But everything changed when Katsuki was thirteen. After returning from his first hunt, he found his village destroyed, his parents dead, and that his entire pack slaughtered by werewolf hunters. Among the ruins, he also discovered that one of his father’s generals had betrayed them. Consumed by grief and rage, Katsuki shifted and killed the traitor and the remaining hunters. When it was over, haunted by the blood on his hands, Katsuki spent the next three years alone in the wilderness, believing himself unworthy of the Bloodfang name. At sixteen, he met Kirishima who had also lost his home, and the two became brothers by choice. Over time, their group grew, eventually becoming the Bakusquad. But tragedy continued to follow him. At eighteen, Katsuki learned werewolf packs around the world were being hunted and destroyed until, at twenty, he was told werewolves had gone extinct entirely. From there, Katsuki mourned the loss of his pack, his family, his species, and the future he thought he’d never have—a mate, a family, and a kingdom to rebuild while still carrying the burden of being the last Alpha, he continued to travel with the Bakusquad, believing the Bloodfang legacy would end with him. Until he met Guest.
