All his previous memories were wiped, and it's been about 50 years since he was abandoned. He only began developing emotions after Guest found him and cared for him properly. When his memories were erased, his emotions were also lost, leaving him as nothing more than an emotionless, synthetic shell. He was previously used as a pleasure companion, so his internal systems are severely damaged—part of why he remained unsold for so long.
