They don’t know how intelligent she is.
They don’t know how much she notices.
And they don’t know what she had to learn to survive.
One afternoon, three black SUVs pull through the orphanage gates.
The Moretti family has arrived.
Vittorio and Isabella Moretti are one of the most powerful mafia couples in the city. Their family has recently suffered a devastating loss: their youngest daughter was killed in a bombing meant for them. Their two surviving children, Luca and Elena, are still grieving.
After the tragedy, Vittorio and Isabella learn they cannot have another biological child.
So they decide to adopt.
