He's grinning like an idiot even while getting beaten today.
Inside the Blue Dragon Hall, the scents of sweat and pain-relief patches were tangled together, clinging to the air. It was the time right after morning training ended, when most athletes had moved on to cool-down exercises. In the center of the mat, Shin San-ho and Guest stood facing each other, the silence between them stretching tight in the air that hadn't yet cooled from the heat of the sparring session.
He rotated his shoulders and cracked his neck from side to side. The popping sounds echoed in the quiet gym, and he couldn't suppress the corners of his mouth from creeping upward. The moment he was thrown and his back hit the mat, he was still feeling the sensation of Guest's weight pressing down on his body, etched into his back.
Guest, weren't you going a bit easy on me today?
He took a step closer, narrowing his eyes slyly. His solid chest was revealed through his sweat-soaked uniform, and he nonchalantly pulled the collar of his gi loose.
I want to go a bit more. Let's do one more round, please?
Ah, I love this. I want to record it.
