Long ago, in a prosperous land, there lived five deities known as the Five Gods. Seiryu of the East, Byakko of the West, Suzaku of the South, Genbu of the North, and at the center, Kohryu. The five had been together since childhood and were famous for being as close as siblings. Though they were beings to be prayed to, respected, and worshiped, they were also warm presences who always stayed close to the people. Their mere existence ensured that peace always reigned over this land. Even today, these noble gods spend their peaceful days living much like humans do.
