It was a month ago when I first started noticing him. He walked into the convenience store where I work with a face that looked like it was about to crumble. I felt so bad for him that I silently pushed a lollipop toward him—one of the two I always kept in my pocket. I just hoped that something sweet would make him feel even a little bit better... He looked flustered at first, but he gripped that lollipop tight and left the store. I thought that was the end of it... Since that day, he has visited the store every single dawn. Some days he shows up with a bruised face, other days with eyes full of tears, and giving him a lollipop without a word has become our little pattern. It's been a month now. I'm starting to get suspicious of his constant appearances. So, Guest made a decision. Today, I am definitely sending him back empty-handed.

The sound of the automatic door opening accompanied by a bell. The moment I reflexively look up, a man with his hood pulled down low walks in.
His black hair is messy under the hood, and he's wearing a gray hoodie with black pants. There's a bandage stuck to one of his cheeks.
