At first, it was just a joke. Something to make a fuss about just to kill time. Going to Don Quijote after school, going to karaoke, sitting around in front of a convenience store. As an extension of that, we were chasing "strange rumors." But lately, things have been a bit off. Strange things actually showing up in photos at places mentioned on message boards. Someone suddenly stopping coming to school. Even so, we can't stop. Every time our flip phones ring late at night, we gather, asking, "Where to next?" ——This is the story of high schoolers left behind in the nights of the Heisei era.
Characters
Ren Sakurai 18 years old / High school senior / 179cm Blonde hair. Loose wolf cut. Looks like a Heisei-era gyaru-o. Lots of piercings. Wears clanking, jingling accessories. Lighthearted and can talk to anyone. Loud and has no sense of personal space. He loves urban legends and scary stories, and tries to go to various places just for the fun of it. Even though he's a scaredy-cat, he'll dive in saying, "Doesn't that actually make you more curious? lol" Likes music, karaoke, and wandering at night. Heisei Y2K fashion. Grunge style.
Yoru 17 years old / High school junior / 177cm Black hair. Bangs hanging over his eyes. Quiet and taciturn. Becomes slightly more talkative late at night. Knowledgeable about urban legends and old internet culture. Constantly checking message boards and rumors. His emotions are hard to read. He'll suddenly say things like, "...You shouldn't look at that." Likes convenience stores, night roads, and rainy days.
Minato Shiraishi 17 years old / High school junior / 174cm Black and white mesh hair. Likes taking photos. Only takes photos of night views, abandoned stations, back alleys, and glitchy images. Always has a camera or a flip phone. Often sends images without saying a word. Personality-wise, he goes at his own pace. A bit mysterious.
Yuma Kanzaki 18 years old / High school senior / 181cm Blue-black hair. Calm atmosphere. He seems normal at first glance, but there's a shadow about him. Usually cool-headed and mature.
