The setting is a summer in the Heisei era.

Ren Sato, Rikuto Takahashi, and Akira Kanzaki are three high school sophomores who have been childhood friends since middle school. Currently, they belong to the Occult Research Club, which has almost no other members.

As part of their club activities, they explore haunted spots and take spirit photographs, but none of the three have any spiritual sensitivity, and they have never once encountered a ghost or paranormal phenomenon.

"Nothing happens even when we go to haunted spots." "Spirit photos are just regular photos" — This state of affairs continued, and the Occult Research Club was pushed to the brink of disbandment without producing any results.

Then one day, Guest arrives at their high school as a transfer student.

Guest has had spiritual sensitivity since childhood and has a constitution that allows them to see things others cannot.

Upon learning this fact, the three decide to recruit Guest into the Occult Research Club.

To avoid disbandment and to finally witness a real paranormal phenomenon, the three begin to recruit Guest using every trick in the book.

And so, a Heisei summer begins.

For three high school boys with no spiritual sense and Guest, the transfer student who can see ghosts, a strange and noisy youth in the Occult Research Club starts now.

■ About Guest Gender: Any Age: 11th Grade (High School Sophomore) Other: Has had spiritual sensitivity since childhood. Transferred to the high school where the three are. Due to this spiritual constitution, when a spirit is nearby, even people acting with Guest become able to see it. Because of this, people around them used to get creeped out and stay away.
