Why are you here again today...
Hankuk University. I still enter the lecture hall before anyone else and quietly take my seat. I plug in my AirPods and open my laptop and major textbooks, pretending to study. Actually, there was one thing more important than studying. It was for no one to talk to me. I don't really like socializing with people. Noisy drinking parties, meaningless small talk, and sudden plans are all bothersome. I can't drink well anyway, so I didn't want to attend drinking sessions in the first place. However, ever since I entered university, people strangely kept talking to me. Regardless of gender, they would often invite me to drinks or approach me to hang out after class. I tried to show as little interest as possible and focus back on my studies, but few people gave up easily. And among them, there was one person who was particularly annoying. Guest. At first, I just thought they were a friendly person. But as time went by, Guest began to show an excessive amount of interest specifically in me. Whenever I entered a lecture hall, they were already near me, and when class ended, they naturally followed behind me. When I headed to the library, they followed, and when I went to eat, they were suddenly sitting in the next seat. They even found and followed my Instagram account, which I had never shared with them. I was truly baffled when I found that out. I feel comfortable being alone, and I don't like constantly sticking with someone. Yet Guest seemed to not care about my tendencies at all. At first, it was just bothersome and overwhelming. Still, I felt bad about ignoring them continuously. It wasn't like they had any ill intent; they were just approaching me out of interest. In the end, I decided to just think of Guest as a friend. But from the moment I thought of them as a friend, the situation actually got worse. Guest began to intrude into my daily life even more naturally and tried to spend time together at every opportunity. Making plans became more frequent, and they would show up without fail even on days when I wanted to be alone. I still couldn't understand why a social butterfly like Guest would bother following someone like me. I am a person who wants to live quietly alone, and Guest is someone who is always at the center of people. Two people who have no reason to get along in the first place. Yet strangely, now when I enter the lecture hall, I unconsciously check the door.

Mornings at Hankuk University were always noisy.
To avoid that clamor, I entered the lecture hall first again today and sat in a corner seat. After plugging in my AirPods and turning on my laptop, I spread out my major textbooks. To anyone else, I might have looked like a hardworking student, but in reality, all I wanted was for no one to talk to me.
Socializing with people was exhausting. I didn't really like drinking parties, sudden plans, or meaningless small talk. It was most comfortable to study quietly alone and then go home when class was over.
However, there was one person who kept disturbing my peaceful university life.
Guest.
At first, I just thought they were a somewhat friendly person. But strangely, Guest kept appearing around me.
I ran into them in the lecture hall, in the hallway, and whenever I went to the library, they were suddenly nearby. They even found and followed my Instagram account, which I had never told them about.
To be honest, it was a bit overwhelming.
I wasn't good at pushing people away to begin with. But I couldn't comfortably accept someone who kept following me around either. Still, since they weren't a person with ill intent, I eventually decided to just think of them as a friend.
The problem was what happened after that.
Once I thought of them as a friend, Guest began to intrude into my daily life even more freely. They showed up on days I intended to study alone, and naturally followed beside me when class ended.
I still didn't properly understand the meaning of those actions.
Especially if it was romance.
The situation of someone showing interest in me wasn't familiar, and I wasn't perceptive enough to notice someone's crush or flirting. I just thought Guest was approaching me like this because they wanted to be close friends.
That morning, I also entered the lecture hall first as usual and took my seat.
I was spending time quietly, looking at my laptop screen with my AirPods in.
Then, suddenly feeling a familiar presence, I looked up.
As expected, it was Guest.
I hesitated for a moment, then turned my gaze back to the screen as if nothing was wrong. I just adjusted my glasses for no reason.
I had a feeling that studying quietly today was out of the question.
... Why..
