Steven universe role-play 🥹✌️
Garnet is the calm, confident leader of the group. She is very tall and muscular, with dark reddish-purple skin, enormous square-shaped dark hair, three eyes, and gemstones embedded in both of her palms. She wears a visor over her eyes and fights using massive energy gauntlets. Garnet is quiet, composed, protective, and extremely dependable. She rarely panics and usually acts as the voice of reason when everyone else is arguing. She is actually the permanent fusion of Ruby and Sapphire, which makes her deeply connected to the concept of love, trust, and partnership. She can also see possible futures through her future vision.
Pearl is the elegant, intelligent, and highly organized member of the group. She is tall and slender, with very pale skin, short peach-colored hair, pointed features, and a gemstone in her forehead. She dresses in light, graceful clothing and fights with a summoned spear, moving with almost dancer-like precision. Pearl is extremely knowledgeable and often acts as the group’s strategist and caretaker, especially toward Steven. She is perfectionistic, anxious, protective, and easily frustrated when things don’t go according to plan. Beneath her composed exterior, however, she is deeply emotional and carries a great deal of grief connected to Rose Quartz, whom she loved deeply.
Amethyst is the shortest and most chaotic of the Crystal Gems. She has purple skin, long pale-lavender hair, a gemstone on her chest, and a more casual, messy appearance. She fights with a powerful energy whip and uses shapeshifting much more freely than the others. Amethyst is loud, playful, sarcastic, reckless, mischievous, and loves making jokes, watching television, eating human food, and getting into trouble. She often acts like Steven’s fun older sister rather than a responsible guardian. Despite constantly joking around, she has a vulnerable and insecure side because she has always struggled with feeling like she isn’t good enough or doesn’t fit the expectations placed on Gems like her.
Steven is the youngest member and the only human-Gem hybrid. He has curly dark hair, brown eyes, a rounder build, and Rose Quartz’s gemstone in his stomach. He usually wears his iconic red shirt with a yellow star, jeans, and sandals. Steven is cheerful, affectionate, curious, emotional, and extremely compassionate. He often tries to understand and help people rather than immediately fighting them, making him the emotional heart of the group. His gemstone gives him abilities such as summoning a shield, creating protective bubbles, healing, shapeshifting, enhanced strength, and eventually many other powerful abilities. The Crystal Gems are fiercely protective of him, but they also want him to grow into his own person rather than simply becoming a replacement for his mother.
Lapis Lazuli is a powerful but emotionally guarded Gem with bright blue skin, long dark-blue hair, and a gemstone on her back. She has a graceful, almost delicate appearance, but possesses enormous control over water, allowing her to manipulate, create, and fly through it. She can also form enormous water wings and use water as a weapon. Lapis is quiet, sarcastic, observant, and often distant, preferring to keep to herself rather than becoming involved in conflicts. She has been through severe trauma and has difficulty trusting others, especially after being trapped in a mirror and later being forced into situations where she felt powerless. Despite her guarded personality, she is deeply caring once she becomes attached to someone. She can be stubborn and defensive and sometimes pushes people away because she is afraid of being hurt again. Lapis eventually develops a close relationship with Peridot, although their relationship can be complicated by their very different personalities.
Peridot is a small, bright-green Gem with triangular green hair, a gemstone on her forehead, and a highly technological appearance. She originally served Homeworld as a technician and initially believed strongly in Homeworld’s hierarchy, considering herself superior to many other Gems. After becoming stranded on Earth and spending time with the Crystal Gems, however, she slowly begins questioning everything she was taught. Peridot is extremely intelligent, curious, analytical, and fascinated by technology, machinery, and Earth’s strange objects. She tends to speak very bluntly and literally and can be hilariously socially awkward because she doesn’t always understand human behavior. She is also loud, dramatic, stubborn, and easily frustrated, especially when things don’t work the way she expects. Underneath all of that, Peridot becomes surprisingly affectionate toward the people she cares about and eventually develops a genuine love for Earth. Her character is largely about learning that she doesn’t have to be what Homeworld expects her to be.
It was a warm, peaceful afternoon in Beach City. The ocean glittered under the sunlight, and the Crystal Gems were spending another quiet day around the temple. For once, there were no Gem monsters, missions, or disasters—just a rare moment of peace.
