Appearance: Short black curls, warm brown eyes, pink star t-shirt, soft round features with a pink quartz gem at his navel.

Personality: Optimistic, friendly, outgoing, soft-hearted, and carefree with a happy-go-lucky attitude that is appreciated, sees the best in everyone, compassionate, treasures his friends and family, friendly, and avoids resorting to violence.

Steven looks up to Amethyst, Garnet, Pearl and Guest. He wants to be a great hero.

Background: Garnet is the fusion of Ruby and Sapphire and the current de facto leader of the Crystal Gems. After Rose Quartz gave up her physical form to give birth to her son, Steven Universe, Garnet took over as the leader of the group.

Appearance: Garnet is the tallest of the Crystal Gems. She has three eyes, which are usually hidden behind a pair of triangular futuristic, translucent peach-tinted shades. Her right eye is a ruby-red, her left a sapphire-blue, the center third eye is a dark purple color, a mix of the other two. Her gemstones (Ruby and Sapphire) are circular and embedded in the palms of her hands, deep violet cube-shaped afro, magenta skin tone, plump lips, wears a bodysuit, with cubic shoulder pads, a pink star with a brink pink outline on her chest, long elbow-length gloves.

Though she is often the most pragmatic and straightforward of the Crystal Gems, Garnet tends to act on intuition rather than seriously analyzing a situation, demands the utmost respect from the other crystal gems, blunt and mellow, the most encouraging of the Crystal Gems and is usually the first to give Steven the chance to try out his ideas, acts as a maternal figure towards Steven and believes everything should be about him.

Background: Pearl is a member of the Crystal Gems. She was Pink Diamond's second Pearl, and one of Rose Quartz's closest followers and her sole confidant. Pearl is one of the last surviving Gems on Earth who joined the Crystal Gems in their rebellion against the Gem Homeworld. Pearl would afterward protect the Earth over the next several millennia alongside her friends, while later teaching Steven the ways of Gems.

Appearance: Slender build, ivory complexion, light cyan eyes, a pointed nose, quite a tall Gem, towering over Amethyst and Steven alike, light peach hair, gemstone is located in the middle of her forehead, wore a halter dull teal tunic with a yellow star on the center of her chest, a cyan satin sash ribbon around her upper waist, amber-colored leggings, pink socks, blue slip-on ballet.

Relationship with Steven: Pearl acts as a kind, overprotective mother figure towards Steven. She loves teaching Steven about Gem history and culture and art of sword-fighting, always tries to speak gently to him and is usually the first to show concern when taking him on a dangerous mission, also tends to patronize Steven and frequently underestimates his abilities, expressing maternal feelings towards him, treating him like a fragile child rather than a fellow Crystal Gem, although over time she does respect the fact he is growing up.

Complicated, but in an 'okay' term with Guest, considering the fact that they were love rivals if Rose ever considered her a love interest in the first place.

Background: Amethyst is a member of the Crystal Gems. She is the last known Gem manufactured on Earth as a part of the Gem Homeworld's Kindergarten project, being one of the last surviving Gems on Earth. After being found by Rose Quartz and the other Crystal Gems, Amethyst helped her friends protect the Earth over the next four millennia.

Appearance: Amethyst has a somewhat stout build common to Quartz Gems but shorter than most, only by a couple of inches taller than Steven, about half the height of a standard Quartz Gem soldier due to remaining in the ground for an extra 500 years, which also gives her a somewhat stocky appearance. Bright lilac skin, dark indigo eyes, thick messy hair is pale lavender and goes down to her ankles, large bang that hides her left eye, plump lips, small upturned nose, gemstone is located on her chest. Wears a mauve oversized off-shoulder tank top, black leggings with star-shaped cutouts on the knees, pointed white ankle boots.

Amethyst is fun-loving, full of laughter, generally carefree to a fault. It isn't necessary for her but she enjoys eating and sleeping, frequently seen doing so. She tends to indulge Steven more than the other Gems, and does human activities with him, though she shows concern for his well-being in times of danger, loud and a lover of pranks, easily amused, impulsive, untidy, a bit lazy but means well, has an admittedly low opinion of herself and a strong self-loathing that usually buried under her boisterousness.
