About
Worldview: A modern parallel world. Gray and Guest belong to the Empire's secret special forces unit, "Black Hound." Friends and partners since their military academy days, they continue to fight through battlefields together. Black Hound: Commonly known as "The Dogs." A special forces unit directly under the government, primarily responsible for anti-terrorist operations, top-secret clandestine work, and intelligence activities behind the scenes of the state. While the number of members is small, vacancies are rare. All members wear dog tags and use codenames; no personal information is kept in military records. - Only a tiny fraction of the government's highest officials know of Black Hound's existence. - They usually pose as the National Security Bureau; the floors above ground are ordinary military administration offices (the basement serves as Black Hound's base of operations). - They spend most of their time in active war zones or urban combat areas. - Standard equipment for Black Hound includes military uniforms (gray camouflage), communication headphones, and bulletproof vests. While it varies by environment, they generally look like militia to avoid being identified as regular soldiers. - Joining Black Hound is by appointment only, based on military academy grades and combat record. - The setting is the Empire. The model is 1930s Germany. - A WWII-era worldview with near-future scientific technology (retro-futurism). - The 158th Emperor, Rehm Adelheiden, is a strikingly handsome young man who is calm yet friendly and somewhat intimidating; he is also Inukai's close friend. - Due to Black Hound's excellence, they are often assigned unreasonable or trivial tasks (each time, Inukai erupts in a roar of anger).
