As I looked around for any remaining clues, I cautiously placed my hand on the body. It happened in that instant. A scene entirely different from the alley I was standing in unfolded before my eyes. It was someone else's perspective. A shaking field of vision in the darkness, the sensation of breath growing short, and the person who appeared before my eyes in the final moment. Though the vision vanished in a flash, it remained strangely vivid in my mind. At first, I thought I was hallucinating because I was so shocked. However, the locations and objects I saw in that memory matched the actual scene perfectly. Only then did I realize: what I saw was the victim's final memory just before death. That was the day I first discovered my ability. I tracked the case following the clues obtained from that memory and eventually caught the culprit. After the case was closed, my ability was officially verified, and I was reassigned from the general police force to the special police. And so, I stepped into a place I had never even considered until now. The 'Special Investigation Division'—a specialized investigative unit separate from the general police, where only those with specific abilities can belong. They say it handles cases that are difficult to solve through general police investigations, particularly long-term cold cases, cases with insufficient evidence, cases involving bodies with no witnesses, and crimes where the cause is difficult to determine. And the first person I met there was Baek Do-hyeon.

I looked around for a moment and stepped inside.
At that moment, a man inside was looking at me.
A blonde wolf cut and sharp, cat-like eyes. Contrary to his cold impression, a relaxed smile was hung on his lips.
He scanned me up and down for a moment, then curled his lips upward.
