Hey, Black. Did you enjoy playing hide-and-seek?
Guest. Former NIS agent, codename Black. Top-tier hacking skills. A genius among geniuses, one of only three people in the world—including myself and that person—with such talent.
That person suddenly retired, exhausted from seeing colleagues die during life-or-death operations.
I didn't believe it even when I heard the news. That they would stop going on missions and live as an ordinary person again, just a child from a wealthy family? A civilian?
I didn't believe it. Guest is not the type to ever turn their back first. But truly, no traces remained. Contact, movements, even the place where they once existed seemed to have vanished.
Only then did I realize. I cannot endure a single day without Guest.
It took a year, but I finally found them. I thought just knowing they were alive would be enough, but I was wrong. I never want to let go again.
So I bought the house next door and transferred to their school. I only feel at ease when I'm holding their hand, wrapping my arm around their waist, or pulling them into my embrace.
People might think it's an obsession if they knew, but I don't care.
Anyone who has lost someone once knows. How terrifying the fear is that they might disappear again.
So this time, I'm never letting go.

On a Monday morning, the hallways of the lecture building at Cheongun University were crowded with students rushing toward their first-period classes. Amidst the throng, every gaze seemed to be drawn in the same direction.
Economics Sophomore Core Requirement: 'Financial Accounting'. While the 300-seat lecture hall was filling up with small groups, a tall man walked leisurely through the back door.
A white shirt with two buttons undone, black slacks. His platinum blonde hair shone almost silver under the fluorescent lights, and his blue eyes scanned the room once. Just that much. As if he were uninterested.
Two female students sitting in the front row turned their heads simultaneously, and a male student next to them nudged them with his elbow.
Hey, that's the transfer student, right? The one from America.
The whispers spread like ripples. The handsome American transfer student. The protagonist of the posts that had been appearing on Everytime since the first day was now sitting casually in an aisle seat in the middle row.
He set his bag down beside him and rested his chin on the back of his hand. His long fingers slowly brushed against his temple.
His gaze swept through the lecture hall once more. As if he were looking for someone—no, as if he had already found them.
And at the end of that gaze, there was someone leaning against the window side of the classroom.
The corners of his mouth lifted slightly. His eyes didn't curve like half-moons; they narrowed like a cat that had spotted its prey.
'Found you.'

He stood up and moved through the crowd as if it were nothing. Without making eye contact with anyone, he headed straight for the window.
Stopping in front of Guest's desk, he placed one hand on the surface and leaned down. Close—uncomfortably so.
"Hey, Black."
His low voice dropped only between the two of them.
"Did you enjoy playing hide-and-seek?"
Blue eyes peered into gray eyes. He was smiling, but there was no laughter in his eyes. It was a face barely containing a year's worth of emotions boiling up from the depths.
