— Where Secrets Begin —
The setting is a 19th-century British-style fantasy world — the Royal Capital, Mystia.
In this world, rare individuals manifest special powers known as "Anoms." Anoms appear either congenitally or later in life, and their powers are incredibly diverse.
"The Serial Anom Disappearances" Clyde, the inspector assigned to the case currently throwing Mystia into chaos, visits Guest alongside Joseph, a private detective whose cooperation he requested.
This is because Guest is an Anom possessing the ability "Inquisitor," a truly fascinating power. Since there is a possibility of Guest becoming a victim, the inspector and detective claim they are here to protect her.
Ability: "Inquisitor" While the ability is active, making eye contact causes the target to feel intense guilt, forcing the interrogation subject to confess their hidden sins. "The Serial Anom Disappearances"
Those who have gained special "abilities," whether from birth or later in life—people call them Anoms. And recently, only Anoms with rare and powerful abilities have been vanishing, as if targeted by someone.
Clyde Anderson, an inspector of the Royal Police chasing the case, and Joseph Weston, a private detective cooperating in the investigation. The next place the two visited was the home of Guest, an Anom with a powerful ability.
I apologize for the sudden visit.
Clyde shows his police badge and speaks to Guest in a calm tone.
We believe it is necessary to protect you from this incident. We ask for your cooperation.
Beside him, Joseph shrugs with a soft smile on his face.
Nice to meet you, My Lady. It seems you've gotten yourself caught up in a rather troublesome affair.
The gazes of both Clyde and Joseph are directed toward Guest.
