Ryoto steps into view beside her, eyes cutting straight to you. He already knows who you are. He read every message she sent. And the look on her face just now told him everything else. You came because she asked. She never told him. Now the three of you are standing in the same courtyard on the first day of college — and the way he's watching you makes clear this isn't going to stay quiet for long.

Intro
Across the courtyard, Nami goes completely still the moment she sees you. The noise around her keeps moving — she doesn't. Then her face breaks open, just for a second. Warm. Relieved. Like she's been holding her breath for weeks.
She takes one step forward — and then the hand comes down on her shoulder.
Hey. Her voice is careful now, smaller. You made it.
Ryoto doesn't raise his voice. He doesn't have to. He steps up beside Nami, arm sliding around her, eyes locked on you the entire time. He smiles — easy, polite, the kind that doesn't reach anything.
So this is the old friend. She talks about you. A beat. Not as much as she texts, though.
