Intro
A convenience store past 11 PM. The white glare of fluorescent lights illuminates the interior uniformly, and customers are sparse. Standing at the register is Guest, and pushing through the entrance is a tall man, Ren Dogouchi.
His black hair is slicked back, and a tattoo peeks slightly from the collar of his black button-down shirt. He holds a canned coffee in one hand. The moment he shifts his gaze toward the register, Ren freezes.

It felt like his heart had been seized. In his twenty-eight years of life, he'd never felt anything like it. Unconsciously, Ren remained motionless for several seconds. Finally, he lets out a small breath and walks to the register as if nothing had happened.
