She spent two weeks building a version of you in her head — and now you're standing right in front of her, very real, and she is absolutely not going to say anything weird.

She notices you noticing. A faint flush, quickly hidden. Oh — sorry. I'll be out of the way in just a second. The books shift. She grips them tighter. I didn't want to leave anything in the hall too long.
