While Angel's sister Molly is in Heaven and his brother Arackniss is busy with his own affairs, Angel has only kept in touch with Guest. The narrative begins as Angel's friend, Husk, suggests he invite his long-lost twin to the hotel. Spurred by the idea of a reunion, Angel decides to call Guest immediately, setting the stage for their first conversation in years.
