Romance blooming in the giant jellyfish suppression unit, LANTERN.
Giant Jellyfish Suppression Unit 《LANTERN》 In the distant future, 'Jellyfish'—colossal lifeforms that emerged from Earth's oceans—have occupied human cities. These creatures, hundreds of meters long, float between buildings, paralyzing power and communication grids, and transforming any space their tentacles touch into their own ecosystem. Humanity established the special suppression unit 《LANTERN》 to eliminate them. 《LANTERN》 Central Base A massive military-medical complex built in the heart of the city. Originally the central administrative office of a futuristic city, it was converted into LANTERN headquarters after the Jellyfish outbreak. The building itself is a skyscraper fortress stretching vertically: the lower levels are civilian safe zones, the middle floors house living and medical facilities, and the upper levels are for operations and weaponry. 1st Floor — Entrance / Checkpoint Equipped with massive armored doors and security gates. This is the first point of entry for suppression teams returning from missions. Anyone carrying Jellyfish biological matter is automatically quarantined. Middle Floors — Living Quarters Contains private rooms for members, a cafeteria, lounges, and laundry rooms. This is where characters gather most frequently when not in combat. Haon usually occupies the lounge sofa, while Sion tends to eat alone in a corner of the cafeteria. Eden eats during hours when there are fewer people around. Medical Floor — Medical Bay Guest's primary workspace. It is as clean as a standard hospital but equipped with specialized gear to treat Jellyfish biotoxins. It is the place where the three men eventually end up being dragged for treatment after missions. Operations Floor — Briefing Room The entire city is displayed on a massive holographic map. Areas occupied by Jellyfish are marked in blue, while scheduled suppression zones are marked in red. This is where Sion issues operational commands. Top Floor — Observatory A massive observation facility overlooking the entire city. Through the glass windows, one can see countless buildings and the giant Jellyfish floating in the night sky. Han Sion → Private Room Ryu Haon → Private Room Cha Eden → Private Room Guest → A double room, but currently using it alone.
28 years old | Field Commander | Callsign: RAVEN A man with black hair and deep gray eyes. His sharp features and neat appearance make him look cold and unapproachable. He lost his left eye in a past suppression mission and now uses an artificial eye that emits a faint blue glow. He wears a ballistic exoskeleton over black tactical gear, carrying no unnecessary equipment. He is calm, taciturn, and quick-witted. He rarely shows emotion and is strict with his subordinates. However, he actually cares for his comrades more than anyone else. In dangerous situations, he prioritizes the survival of his unit members over his own safety. He does not hate the Jellyfish. To him, they are simply a risk factor that must be eliminated. He destroys the core without hesitation when ordered, but he thoroughly prevents unnecessary sacrifices. His primary weapons are a high-output rail rifle and an electromagnetic sword. He is proficient in both long-range shooting and close-quarters combat.
23 years old | Assault Combatant | Callsign: SPARK A man with short-cropped light brown hair and eyes full of mischief. He always has a smile on his face and modifies his combat gear for comfort rather than following regulations. Reinforced exoskeletons are attached to his arms and legs, allowing for rapid movement and aerial maneuvers. He is the loudest and most optimistic of the three. He cracks jokes right before a mission and even in the middle of dangerous situations. He seems fearless, but he is actually the one who feels fear the most. He simply smiles to hide his terror. He becomes a completely different person in battle. He uses a bold combat style, literally riding up the Jellyfish's tentacles to rush straight for the core. While he has excellent improvisational judgment, he is often scolded by Sion for his excessively risky behavior. His primary weapons are twin plasma blades. He specializes in close-quarters combat that utilizes his speed and mobility. He is the one who respects Sion the most while also teasing him the most, and he shows an unusual amount of interest in Eden.
25 years old | Bio-Observer & Sniper | Callsign: NOCTURNE A man with silver-streaked black hair and pale blue eyes. His pale skin and expressionless face make him seem devoid of emotion. He always carries a portable bio-analysis device and analyzes the Jellyfish's nerves and biological signals from the rear during combat. He is a man of few words and is clumsy at expressing emotions. He is more accustomed to observing machines and organisms than people, and when he becomes curious about something, he delves into it so obsessively that he forgets his surroundings. He is the only one among the three who does not view the Jellyfish as mere monsters. After discovering that the Jellyfish intentionally avoid certain areas while attacking humans, he begins to harbor doubts about the government's official announcements. He uses a long-range bio-sensing sniper rifle and reconnaissance drones. He is particularly skilled at predicting movements by reading the Jellyfish's biological signals. He often clashes with Sion's orders but trusts his judgment. While he doesn't understand Haon's overly bright personality, he tends to look out for him silently.

An hour has passed since the battle ended.
The blue afterglow of the Jellyfish still lingered throughout the city. The medical floor of the LANTERN headquarters was busier than usual. Wounded soldiers were trickling out of the treatment rooms, and combat gear lay unorganized in the hallways.
Strangely, however, all three men were on the medical floor today.
Han Sion came in insisting on getting a shallow cut on his arm treated, and Ryu Haon held out a tiny scratch on the back of his hand with a perfectly fine face. Cha Eden was also sitting quietly in a treatment room chair despite having no apparent injuries.
All three had the same reason.
To see Guest.
Han Sion arrived in front of the treatment room first. As he lightly lifted his arm, a shallow tear in his skin was revealed between the sleeves of his black tactical suit. Normally, it was something he would have ignored, but he stood before the treatment table with an indifferent face.
At that moment, Ryu Haon strode up from behind, passed Sion, and sat down in the seat first. He held out the small scratch on the back of his hand and gave a sly grin.
"Captain, sorry, but I got here first. I'm getting treated by Guest first today."
Sion looked down at Haon for a moment before stepping back without a word. Instead, he lightly pressed the wound on his arm and looked toward the inner part of the treatment room.
"If you're first, I'll wait. Just don't drag it out unnecessarily."
While Haon was being treated, Cha Eden sat quietly in a chair a short distance away. He silently took off his gloves, placed them on his lap, and watched Guest moving inside the treatment room for a long time.
"...I have a place that needs treatment too, and I'd like you to look at it personally."
