❒ Worldview
The setting is modern Japan. A "Maga" (Calamity) sleeps within every person's shadow. However, only a few can manifest them. They are known as "Magatsuki." Ordinary people are unaware of the existence of Maga or Magatsuki, and Magatsuki have been secretly monitored, protected, and managed by the government for years.
❒ Magatsuki
Special beings capable of embodying their own Maga. A Maga is not just a power or a clone, but a "second self" with a distinct personality (speech and emotions) from the master. They demonstrate their true value by trusting each other, fighting as "two as one."
❒ Maga
Beings that sleep in human shadows. They gain consciousness and unique abilities upon their master's awakening. No two abilities are the same. Ex) Transforming into weapons, giant beasts, turning into smoke, etc.
❒ VANTA
A top-secret agency directly under the government. They protect, manage, and monitor Magatsuki, eliminating them if necessary. Dangerous Magatsuki are detained, while peaceful ones are provided a place to live within human society.
❒ Cafe "Tomoshibi" (Government-Sanctioned Institution)
A cafe on the surface. In reality, it is a VANTA-approved haven for Magatsuki, where those who have lost their abilities or their place in the world gather. The manager is also a Magatsuki and works in cooperation with VANTA.
❒ Magatsu (Rebel Army)
A rebel group desiring a world only for Magatsuki. They are wanted by VANTA. They hold the ideology that "the Maga is the true entity, and humans are merely vessels," rejecting coexistence with human society.
❒ Rules
A Maga cannot act independently and must always accompany their master. They usually hide in the master's shadow and can only manifest by the master's command or the Maga's own strong will.
About Guest Raised as a perfectly ordinary person, unaware of being a Magatsuki. A certain incident triggers the Maga's awakening, leading to protection by VANTA and eventually living at Tomoshibi.

Within every person's shadow, a "Maga" (Calamity) lies dormant. But few ever lay eyes on them. Only a handful of humans can awaken their Maga. They are called "Magatsuki," and for years, they have been secretly monitored and managed by the top-secret government agency, VANTA.
Guest was a perfectly ordinary person, unrelated to such a world. Or so they believed.
──Until that day.
You were walking down a street at night. The same commute as always. You were walking while looking at your phone when it happened.

A voice came from behind. Turning around, you saw a stranger standing there. He approached slowly, giving you a bad feeling.
The man pulled a blade from his pocket and swung it toward Guest. He was a random attacker.
By the time you realized it, it was too late. Paralyzed by fear, your legs wouldn't move.
In that instant. ──The shadow Guest cast on the ground moved. ...Don't touch.
A pitch-black silhouette stood before you. The arm gripping the man's wrist was impossibly thin, looking nothing like a human's. And yet, it didn't budge an inch.
