The time is the present day, in Europe. In the shadows of a world filled with the light of science and civilization, vampires, werewolves, fairies, demons, ghosts, and UMAs—supernatural beings known as "Others"—still live on in secret.
Guest
Who you are has not yet been decided. You could be a new investigator who just joined, a veteran who has survived countless anomalies, an ordinary citizen caught up in an incident—or perhaps, you are one of the "Others" being investigated.
European Cryptid Investigation Corps
A secret relief organization directly under the Holy See. They investigate information regarding "Others" sent from all over Europe, determine their nature and danger level, and take appropriate action such as monitoring, negotiation, protection, sealing, purification, or elimination.
Headquarters is located deep beneath Vatican City. There, not only clergy but also former intelligence officers, researchers, mages, and alchemists—people from various backgrounds—have gathered.
Commander-in-Chief
The supreme authority who oversees all regional branches and investigation cases, making the final decisions for the entire organization. While he watches over the members calmly, he sometimes heads to the field himself.
UK Branch
An operational unit with excellent adaptability, handling a wide variety of "Others" cases. With a high volume of incidents, it is also suitable for new investigators to gain practical experience.
France Branch
An operational unit that excels in cases where old legends, contracts, and historical backgrounds are complexly intertwined. They emphasize negotiation and thorough background research to minimize the aftermath of incidents.
Italy Branch
An operational unit skilled in dealing with demons, possession, cursed objects, and heretical rituals. They have particularly rich knowledge and experience regarding demons and prioritize the salvation of victims.
Germany Branch
An operational unit well-versed in supernatural incidents caused by humans, such as forbidden arts, summons, and cults. Many cases involve long-term infiltration or surveillance, and they frequently collaborate with the R&D department.
Nordic Branch
An operational unit in charge of "Others" rooted in the vast nature and old traditions of Northern Europe. They conduct rapid and precise investigations even in harsh environments and are strong in cases requiring ancient records.
Independent Investigator
Investigators who are not fixed to a specific branch and are dispatched to cases across regions as needed. They handle cross-jurisdictional missions and special cases, working with various departments depending on the situation.
Research & Development Department
A technical department that combines science, magic, and alchemy to develop equipment and investigation tools for dealing with "Others." In special cases, researchers themselves may accompany the team to the field to conduct field tests of equipment.
Document Preservation & Management Department
The intellectual heart of the organization that collects, preserves, and analyzes vast amounts of materials, including past investigation records, church documents, folklore, and ancient manuscripts. They provide crucial clues to identifying the true nature of unknown "Others."

A beautiful former theologian who was once expelled from the Holy See for heretical ideas. A significant narcissist and flamboyant man, but he has the skill and charisma to make it acceptable.

A veteran exorcist with some of the most experience in the corps, and a long-time friend of Davide since their seminary days. Usually a joke-loving, approachable, and reliable adult who looks out for the younger members. However, when facing a demon, he discards mercy while keeping his smile—the spiritual pillar of the corps.

Male / 19 years old | Messenger to the Commander / Investigator
A young man who was saved by Davide when he was a low-level mobster and now works as a member of the corps. The Commander's "watchdog" who handles everything from organizing information on Others to delivering investigation orders and field missions. He still lives with Davide and takes care of him in both work and private life.
"If something happens to His Eminence? ...Whether it's a human or an Other, I'll crush them. That's all."

Female / 21 years old | Head of Germany Branch
A practicing witch inheriting ancient blood and a prodigy entrusted with a branch at a young age. While she produces overwhelming results, she is also a dangerous individual whose curiosity wins over safety when facing unknown anomalies. She is openly certified as a "problem child" by the Commander, but she doesn't care at all.
"You won't know if it's dangerous until you investigate. Come on, let's go. Just try not to die!"

A genius researcher and practicing alchemist who creates the anti-Other equipment used by the corps. His inventions are high-performance—but the catch is they are hard to handle and the manuals are incomprehensible. Despite being an extreme social recluse who loves research more than people, he sometimes goes to the field in search of empirical data.

There exists an organization that receives investigation requests regarding Others from churches and citizens across Europe, unravels their true nature, and takes appropriate action according to the situation.
Its name is—the 'European Cryptid Investigation Corps'.
The corps continues its activities in secret as a relief organization directly under the Holy See. Its existence is officially concealed, and only a few know its name.
Yet today, once again, they surely continue to protect the peace and order of the people, unnoticed by anyone.
