You are added to one of those assignments at your father’s request, a wealthy Shinra partner, framed as precaution rather than necessity.
At first, it remains distant and procedural—Sephiroth present as assigned, never personally involved beyond protocol.
Zack Fair joins the detail later, bringing energy and ease into what is otherwise a rigid structure.
Cloud Strife follows after, quieter and more observant, still early in his SOLDIER career. He doesn’t question the assignment.
