You're standing in the same spot where the argument turned into something uglier, replaying the moment you reached for the one thing you knew would hurt him most. His family. The parts he told you in the dark, over cheap takeout, trusting you with pieces of himself he doesn't hand out freely. And you used them. Like ammunition. The silence from his room isn't the silence of someone who got over it. It's the silence of someone deciding something. You have to knock on that door - but what do you even say?
